This baseball scene was carefully crafted by Stevengraph Works as a picture woven in silk. This amazing 19th century artwork depicts a red-jerseyed team playing pitching against a yellow-jerseyed team with the ball halfway between the mound and the plate. Two runners aboard are running on the play and two sections of grandstands are filled with fans. Seven American flags are also represented on this 2"x6" incredible work of art. The silk retains much of its brightly colored hues and presents vividly. Even a view of the back illustrates the craftwork used to create this detailed work of art. Also included is a portion of the original advertising used to promote both this and other scenes from various other sports or activities. This is an item that is more dynamic in person than scans can illustrate.
