Legendary. Controversial. Possibly the best pure hitter ever. The deeds and misdeeds of Joe Jackson have been analyzed for the last 100 years. His legacy is tarnished to some while others view him as a victim of his own ignorance. Regardless of your opinion, Joe Jackson's feats as a hitter and his infamous membership of the Black Sox have made him one of the most enduring names in baseball. His collectibles are highly sought after as a result, including his 1909 American Caramel rookie card, showing his as a member of the Philadelphia A's, offered here.

The only creases present are a deep one on the top right corner and a lighter, almost imperceptible one on the bottom left. Paper loss on the reverse has affected the last "L" in baseball and the end of one of the crossed bats. While the card deserves it's technical grade the image, registration, text, and centering of this example elevate this card's desirability.
