Lot of ten (10) East vs. West Shrine programs from 1933 to 1942 comprising a continuous run (games 8 through 17 in the series). The game originated as a means to benefit the Shriners Hospital and associated charities. Some of the players that are pictured in the programs from this lot include Harry Newman, Ed Danowski, President Gerald Ford, Dan Fortmann, Cecil Isbell, Alex Wojciechowicz, Marshal Goldberg, George McAfee, Bulldog Turner, Tom Harmon as well as many other well known stars. Throughout the history of the game, some of the greatest players ever to compete on the gridiron have participated; with contests played annually to this day.

The programs included in this lot are as follows: January 2nd, 1933 (8th annual), January 1st, 1934 (9th annual), January 1st, 1935 (10th annual), January 1st, 1936 (11th annual), January 1st, 1937 (12th annual), January 1st, 1938 (13th annual), January 2nd, 1939 (14th annual), January 1st, 1940 (15th annual), January 1st, 1941 (16th annual), January 3rd, 1942 (17th annual).

All games were played at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco with the exception of the 1942 contest which was moved to Tulane Stadium in New Orleans due to concerns of a Japanese attack on the West coast following Pearl Harbor.

The programs are intact and average good condition and exhibit age appropriate wear. Some specific notes regarding condition/flaws: the January 1st, 1933 program has writing on the cover and has been scored; the center pages of the January 1st, 1934 program is detached but present; the January 1st, 1935 program has "1935" written on the cover, tape on the spine, and the center pages are detached but present; the January 1st, 1936 program has been scored in pen with notations and has tape on the spine, the January 1st, 1938 program has the score written on the front cover and has some notations on the interior pages, the January 1st, 1941 program has center pages detached but present, and the January 3rd, 1942 program has tape on the spine.

The program form the inaugural game (played in 1925) as well as three other lots of East West programs, are offered as separate lots in this auction.
