"There's no crying in baseball!" Baseball fan Penny Marshall directed the fantastic movie "A League of Their Own" telling the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The movie, released in 1992, was based on this league, which operated from 1943-1954. Offered is a full sized baseball bat which was signed by a number of the surviving players from the AAGBL. Members of the Rockford Peaches and South Bend Blue Sox, which were the only two teams to play in every season the league was in existence, are both well represented on the bat. The very small amount of scuffing present on the knob of the bat does not distract from the amazing glimpse into history that this bat provides. Though she didn't play in the league, director Penny Marshall also appropriately signed the bat due to her love of the league and her affiliation with preserving its memory.
