Red Grange changed professional football forever in 1925 when he joined the Chicago Bears. He was already a legend, and his presence attracted fans that otherwise would have been indifferent to the pro version of football. Unsatisfied with the money that they were receiving from the Bears, Grange and his manager C. C. Pyle formed there own team (New York Yankees) and a league (the first AFL) of teams. The first game played by the newly formed Yankees was held in Aurora, Illinois against a semipro team known as the Fox Valley All Stars. Offered here is a program from that game in which Grange's Yankees beat the All Stars 20 to 0. The program is a four page folder measuring 5" x 7" closed. It has some staining, has been folded horizontally but otherwise presents extremely well. The back page carries an ad for an upcoming game pitting the Fox Valley team against George Wilson's Pacific Coast Wildcats.
