The Bears had completed their 1925 season, signed Red Grange, and were in the middle of a barnstorming tour that would take them all over the country. This game was played on January 16, 1926 at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The Bears defeated Wildcat Wilson and his Tigers by a score of 17 to 7. Grange is featured throughout the program including the generic player on the front cover with "77" on the back of his jersey. The Bears had an incredible lineup featuring Grange, the Sternaman brothers, Halas, Healy and Trafton. One of the most eye appealing programs we have ever handled; with front and back cover art deco styling. The 16 page program exhibits very minor age related wear throughout and at one time was folded vertically. An early Grange and professional football memento that deserves a place in, or as the beginning of, an advanced collection.
