American football is not a sport typically associated with the Olympic games. However, in 1932 a demonstration game was played as part of the 10th Olympiad in Los Angeles. A squad from the West, coached by Howard Jones and composed of players from Stanford, U.S.C., and Cal played a squad from the East coached by Tad Jones with players from Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. Pictured as an assistant coach is Nelson Poe, the Poe who appears as a Princeton player in the N302 Mayo Cut Plug set. The 7 1/2" x 10" eight page program is in excellent plus condition. A seldom offered piece.
