"Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore their names are Death, Destruction, Pestilence, and Famine. But those are aliases. Their real names are: Stuhldreher, Crowley, Miller and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds this afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down upon the bewildering panorama spread out upon the green plain below."

On October 18, 1924 Notre Dame traveled to New York to play the favored Army eleven. Notre Dame upset Army that day, largely due to the effectiveness of the Notre Dame backs known from that moment on as the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame.

The 9 1/4" x 11" twenty page program has it's issues as can be seen from the scans with tape reinforcing the spine, the center page loose but not detached, and some scrapbook remnants on the back cover. Overall it is a solid specimen and a historically important collectible.
